A different kind of science hair
** The sample collection portion of this project has come to an end. Thank you to all those who participated by sending me hair from places you live or visited! The project could not have progressed without you.**
I’m working on a project that will match changes in human hair chemistry to the region that the hair was grown in. I need to look at hair from lots of different regions in order to do this well. That’s where you come in.
I’m collecting two kinds of hair/data…
The first type is anonymous hair from a known location and cut at a specific time. For example, hair swept up today from your local barbershop. If you can help me by sending in this kind of hair click here
The second type of hair is a very small lock of hair cut near the scalp from a specific person who is willing to donate both the hair and some demographic and travel information. This data is anonymous too in that a name is not associated with the hair sample, however the demographic information supplied will be associated with the sample.
